iHASCO

I joined iHASCO back in 2018 and since then I have created a number of training videos used by millions of users around the globe.

As of writing this I have made over 23 courses with include a variety of techniques and softwares.

I have also helped create PDFs, Vlogs, blog posts as well as printed materials following branding guidelines.

For this project, I put together animation, motion graphics and live action footage to a presenter-led script.

I created storyboards and worked with the actors and a camera crew to capture the footage that we needed for the course.

Created using: Photoshop, AfterEffects, Audition and Cinema 4D.

Managing Anxiety won iHASCO course of the year 2020. I created a mixture of drawn animation using Photoshop with motion graphics in AfterEffects.

I also created a Vlog here about how I researched and developed the look and style of the course.

You can also view more of the course here.

When I first started this project, I planned to do in Cinema 4D, however, I felt that it wasn't working and opted to make it look like it was cut out using paper.

For this project, I researched a number of artists as I wanted to find a way of showing someone losing/gaining confidence. In the end, I drew comic book styled characters that animate subtly whilst rainbow colours either vanish or appear on their skin depending on the situation mention in the script.

My role here was to create assets and animate scenes to help explain the use of asbestos throughout human history.

I wrote a blog explaining how we brought this animated sequence together here.

The course features two charming characters which were designed by one of my colleagues. They were great to animate and it was especially fun to do so much morphing animation.

This course was based on the idea of Ikigai (which originates from Japan) and so I researched into Japanese art and history for the style of the project.

"Creative thinking is the ability to think outside the box" and we ran with that idea. I combined a lot of the animation styles that I had made for previous courses and tracked them to the sides of photographed cardboard boxes.

Drawing inspiration from 1950s animation, I wanted to create some 2D character animations to help keep the viewer engaged, I really enjoyed exaggerating the squash and stretch of the motions here.
